Alaska Travel Guide

Alaska lies in the heart of Arctic Circle and the largest state of United states, but secluded from it, thanks to the interception of Canada. It is not like visiting any other place, where local residents hardly would have seen some greenery in their whole life and it has become cynosure of tourists, exactly for this above reason.

Juneau is the capital city and third largest city in this state. Anchorage is the second largest city in the state, commercial capital too and it hosts a well developed Air infrastructure, connecting Canada and USA. Other premiere cities in Alaska includes Bureau, Fairbanks, Dead horse, Homer and Kodiak. Other means of transport available to gain entry into state includes Bus (privilege bestowed only to the citizens of Canada), boat or even by Car.

Being in the Arctic Circle, one need not have to explain about weather conditions but tourists swamp Alaska mostly in the period between May and September, which is comparatively milder.

Tourist destinations:

Snow capped mountains, glaciers to even volcanoes, Alaska can transport a tourist to a new world, hence has been preferred by tourists, even though one has to endure plenty of hardships to taste this elixir.

Premiere tourists destinations include Glaciers National Park, Gates of National Park, Katmai National park which gives the aroma of Alaska from polar bears, snow capped mountains to Arctic glaciers.

Lake national park preserve, primarily created to preserve splendid unsoiled beauty of nature comprises volcanoes, snow capped mountains, glaciers, wild life, waterfalls, it serves a strong fodder ,for the voracious tourists.

Mode of transport:

Road infrastructure is not ideal or well developed which is quite understandable considering the snow capped regions and if one is travelling by car one should not venture into it without having a proper road map.Limited bus and Air transport is available within Alaska, where boat is the primary mode of transport in most of tourists’ destinations.

One has to be solicitous before crafting a tour to Alaska, as it consumes huge time to move from one place to another, so most of tourists would spend time in single place but there is always feasibility to visit three or many different destinations in a single trip, if prudently planned.

Alaska is such a rare, pristine tourist destination that could be both intriguing and refreshing experience for every single tourist.
